Ingredients
1. Freshly chopped cranberries                                                  1 1/2 cup(s)
2. Finely chopped fresh jalapeño pepper                                    1
3. Finely chopped fresh cilantro                                                 ¼ cup(s)
4. Sugar                                                                                    2 tablespoon(s)
5. Fresh lime zest                                                                      1 teaspoon(s)
6. Fresh lime juice                                                                     1 tablespoon(s)
7. Finely grated fresh ginger                                                       3/4 teaspoon(s)
8. Kosher salt                                                                           1/4 teaspoon(s)
9. Freshly ground pepper                                                          1/4 teaspoon(s)
10. Pickled peaches chopped                                                    3/4 cup(s)

Directions

Mix chopped cranberries, chopped fresh Jalapeno pepper, chopped cilantro, sugar, lime zest, lime juice, grated ginger, kosher salt and ground pepper in medium sized bowl. Stir the ingredients and leave them for 10 minutes, mixing the content of the bowl occasionally. Fold in the pickled peaches and seasoning with additional salt and pepper to taste with the help of a spatula. Cool the side dish up to 6 hours before serving on Thanksgiving Day 2016.

Perfect Mashed Potatoes - Thanksgiving Side Dishes 2016

Ingredients

Peeled and chopped, large russet potatoes     
Butter                                                                                                      1/4 cup
Whole milk                                                                                             1/2 cup
salt                                                                                                          Acc. To Taste
ground black pepper                                                                               Acc. To Taste

Directions

  1. Put the potatoes in a pot and pour water to submerge them add a table spoon of salt. Boil the pot and reduce the flame to medium low. Cover the pot and simmer the content for 20 to 25 minuets till the potatoes become tender. Drain the remaining water from the pot. Heat the side dish on high flame for about 20-30 seconds. Remove the pot from the heat.
  2. With the help of the potato masher, mash the potatoes. Add milk( Luke warm) and butter to the potatoes. Keep mashing the content until you get a smooth and fluffy dish. Sprinkle salt and black pepper to the dish according to taste.
